Introducing Bluetooth Beacons
Bluetooth beacons are compact hardware devices that broadcast Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals to nearby smartphones and tablets. The signals typically contain a unique identifier detected when in range, usually around 50 meters.

Understanding NFC Tags
NFC tags are small stickers or cards containing a tiny wireless microchip and antenna. They are passive until activated by a smartphone or tablet at very close range, about 4 cm or less.
