The Bluetooth module can communicate with MQTT by using a gateway device that is capable of bridging the Bluetooth protocol and MQTT. The gateway device typically acts as a translator between the two protocols, receiving data from the Bluetooth module and then publishing it to an MQTT broker.
To enable the communication between the Bluetooth module and the gateway device, the module must be configured to operate in a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mode, which allows it to broadcast advertising packets containing information about its services and characteristics. The gateway device can then scan for these packets and connect to the module over Bluetooth.
Once connected, the gateway device can read data from the Bluetooth module by sending requests for specific characteristics. This data can then be translated into a format that is compatible with MQTT and published to the broker. On the other end, devices subscribed to the MQTT topic can receive the data published by the gateway device, allowing them to monitor the status and control the operation of the Bluetooth module remotely.
